History
Cranhurst Road was apart of one of Colonel Holman Frederick Stephens' light railways, this one being a branch near the now Kent & East Sussex Railway, and ran as far as Camber Sands, branching onto the Ashford - Hastings line between Appledore and Rye, then coming off again just before Rye. The station was closed before the Beeching Axe, and was sold off to a private individual. When they passed away in the late 80's the owner wished for the station to be apart of the newly formed branch that ran from East Guldeford, Military Road, and Kenardington, to eventually be the northern most terminus of the line.
Basis
The layout is fictional, and is based on a station from one of Colonel Stephens' light railways. The layout is currently in the planning stages. Below are two ideas of what the layouts setup will look like - the one with the station uses KATO track, the other uses Peco track.
